Modern Wellness for Adults and Adolescents
Mental health + Functional wellness
Teenya Creswell, M.ED, LPC, CIMHP, CFMP (She/Her)
My Approach:
Psychotherapy with an Integrative Lens. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and supported. As a licensed professional counselor, I create a space where you can explore your story with honesty and compassion—no masks, no judgment. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or feeling disconnected from yourself, we work together to uncover what’s beneath the surface and move toward meaningful change.
But therapy doesn’t stop with talk alone.
I take an integrative approach that looks at the whole person—mind, body, and nervous system. Through this lens, we explore not only your emotional and relational patterns, but also how factors like nutrition, stress, lifestyle, and past health history may be impacting your mental well-being.
Why Nutrition Matters in Therapy.
Emerging research shows what many of us have felt all along: our mental health is deeply connected to how we nourish ourselves. Imbalances in the gut, inflammation, and nutrient deficiencies can quietly shape how we think, feel, and cope.
That’s why I include functional nutrition as part of my therapy practice—not as a separate add-on, but as a thoughtful tool to support your emotional healing. Together, we’ll explore your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and lab work (when needed) to uncover potential root causes behind what you’re feeling.
This isn’t about chasing perfect health—it’s about giving your body and brain the support they need to function well, so you can feel like you again.
A Personalized Path Forward.
You are more than a diagnosis. My role is to help you reconnect with your sense of self and create a plan that’s aligned with your unique needs. That plan may include traditional talk therapy, nervous system support, mindfulness, nutrition, or collaboration with your other healthcare providers.
Please note: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in Functional Medicine and Nutrition. I am not a medical doctor, and this work is not a substitute for medical treatment. However, I often work in partnership with your existing providers to ensure your care is truly holistic.
Why You Might Want to Work With Me
You’re not feeling like yourself—and you can’t quite explain why. Maybe you’re exhausted, mentally foggy, anxious, or emotionally on edge. You’ve been told everything is “normal,” but deep down, you know something’s off.
You might be:
My first priority is to listen—to really hear your story.
You deserve to feel understood.
You deserve a space where your experience isn’t minimized or brushed aside.
It’s not all in your head. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Looking for Coaching Instead?
If you're more interested in a coaching experience focused on nutrition, lifestyle, and gut-brain health—without the therapy component—visit www.mindmeetsgut.com. Mind Meets Gut offers personalized coaching and functional testing (if needed) to help you better understand your body, support your mental wellness, and create sustainable change from the inside out.
